A big thank you to Darin Clarke (art director) forgiving me creative freedom on this project. The assignment, to produce illustrations for use on the cover and as chapter openings in the next installment of Small Group Life published by LifeWay.
My niece Bailey’s birthday is this week, so I made her a little birthday package. I like to mark up things I find to make little notes for people.

I have been working with James Victore since October of last year and over the last nine months we have had some great projects come through the studio—this one is my favorite so far. For Print’s Rants and Raves issue, the magazine selected James, because he is the “angry” designer, to create the cover art. We went back and forth with a bunch of ideas until finally settling on actually making this club and having Tom Schierlitz shoot it.
Pretty freakin’ cool I think.
I had the opportunity to assist wedding photographer Dave Robbins last week. It was a great time and an amazingly beautiful Jewish wedding. Here are a few of my shots:
