This poster was designed because of a class assignment where each student chose two words out of a hat. Mine were “Homo” and “Index”. Since “Index” is the type of sign with a causal relationship, I looked at the debate over the cause of homosexuality. I couldn’t help but notice the caustic behavior from both sides, each who proclaim to be loving, accepting, and well…good.

Waste Management is a company that looks at garbage in new ways, mainly turning it to energy, and using landfills as wild life preserves. This design calls attention to the companies transformational thinking by telling their story through the story of the butterfly. Simple scribbles represent the dirt and grime of waste but combine to form each stage in the butterflies transformation.
